My journey began as a successful freelance performer, but I eventually ventured into entrepreneurship, launching two thriving businesses in the U.S. and French Polynesia. Having made significant life transitions, including three major relocations with my husband and daughter, I understand the complexities of starting anew and the profound impact such changes can have on one's emotional and physical well-being. As a former Cirque du Soleil artist and former member of the Canadian national synchronized swimming team, I understand the journey to building a balanced and strong body, especially after the age of 40. My experiences with injuries and high-level training have allowed me to develop a customized approach tailored to your unique needs. After the age of 40, it is common to encounter issues such as weight gain and physical discomfort. To address this, I offer a personalized training program and tailored nutritional advice that promotes sustainable weight loss. By incorporating strengthening and stretching exercises, we will target areas of tension and improve your flexibility. I will also teach you relaxation techniques to reduce stress. Join me on this transformative journey and discover how to age gracefully while achieving your health and fitness goals!
Physical Conditioning
I provide techniques to help prevent joint pain and dysfunction, particularly in the hips, knees, and shoulders.
I also offer maintenance, control, and core stability exercises inspired by Pilates to prevent postural issues, back pain, and muscle imbalances while enhancing body awareness.
Additionally, I integrate elements of speed and explosiveness (if needed), inspired by gymnastics and circus arts, to improve athletic performance or simply make exercise more enjoyable.
Mobility
- Drawing from ballet techniques and animal flow movements, I enhance the range of motion and improve circulation. This is crucial for aging gracefully, helping older adults preserve their independence and quality of life.
Flexibility and Recovery
I offer yoga classes tailored to your needs that promote physical and mental recovery, boost your mood, improve focus and concentration, and reduce stress and anxiety, all of which are essential for overall well-being.
